Message From the Yonkers PBA President

2010 has been a very trying year, not only in the City of Yonkers but across the nation. Despite these troubles, the men and women of the Yonkers Police Department have performed their jobs with great courage and determination. They have brought new meaning to the term "doing more with less" and for that reason I am proud to represent the men and women of the YPD as President of the Yonkers PBA.

For the members of the Yonkers PBA, 2011 will bring new challenges for us all and I promise to continue to try and find creative solutions to the many problems that we encounter. As always I want to remind the PBA membership that there is strength in unity. As President of our association there is little I can accomplish without the cooperation and trust of the members.

Theodore Roosevelt once said, "In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing." I couldn't agree more.

Thank you all in advance for your support and I look forward to the new challenges that 2011 will bring. Once again, I am proud to lead the strongest and smartest union around.

Det. Keith Olson
President
Yonkers PBA
